Pros

Interesting, challenging work, amazing colleagues, and the chance to learn software development at scale

Cons

I had competing offers between Audible & Blackrock, and decided on Audible, though the pay-band was much lower, because I was told by my recruiter that hybrid work was here to stay. I wanted work life balance, since I have two small children who my wife and I don't send to daycare because we desperately want to spend the next few years with them before they head to school. I was lied to, I have watched other benefits being rapidly cut over the last year. Whatever this company was before Amazon, it is no longer that. The culture has become efficiency, frugality, and exploitation.

Pros

Audible is an Amazon company. I think as a whole, this company attracts people who are kind and fun spirited. Good product.

Cons

Disorganisation. Commute can be hard.

Pros

Your hours are very flexible as you just have to submit the first 15 minutes of the book by a certain date and then the final audiobook by a certain deadline.

Cons

This was a royalty share contract with no base pay and I only made about $70 total after many hours of work.
