Pros

None. This is the worst company I have ever worked for.

Cons

Where to start. 1. Senior leadership are deeply incompetent. They don't know how clinical trials are run, and they are not interested in learning from people they consider below them. 2. Managers are only interested in maintaining their position, rather than actually supporting employees. 3. Bullies at all levels of seniority and in all functions are supported and empowered, while the people/teams they bully are consistently told to suck it up. 4. Leadership hire other people like them (so more people with little to no industry experience). They then try to gaslight employees saying these people are qualified to lead (they are not). 4. Employees are monitored, and office attendance for at least 3 days a week is mandatory, regardless of where you live/how long your commute is/what promises you were made at the time of hire. They actually track you. If your attendance is low, your bonus gets curtailed. 5. There is no interest in mentoring and developing employees, or in supporting their growth. 6. If you try to stand up to the system, they will turn you in the bad guy and systematically destroy your mental and physical health, regardless of how good a job you are doing. Do yourself a favour...avoid this company like the plague. Any competitor is bound to be better.

Pros

I imagine this is very dependent on line management but I find my team and supervisors to be true champions of a high performing and highly compassionate work culture. I find my work challenging and rewarding, and have had opportunities to learn and grow and be rewarded and recognized for my output. No job is perfect but I’m truly happy to work here and at a time when AZ is truly rising like a rocket.

Cons

Like any massive global corporate entity, things can sometimes move slowly and it can be challenging to navigate a high number of constantly evolving priorities and initiatives. That being said, AZ is very clear about its north stars and values which makes it possible to prioritize work that has the most impact and alignment with the company’s ambition and business prerogatives. 60% office attendance policy is also a bit funny when oftentimes I am on Teams calls with colleagues sitting in other areas of the world.
