Pros

Efforts are appreciated and well rewarded. I was able to drive and own projects and take full accountability for it. The job was very varied and I particularly liked the way we were continuously trained and updated. Also the bi-yearly performance review was very useful. Definitely a very fast paced environment with a heavy workload wich by default requires a good level of stress and adrenaline. For me this is a plus as it keeps you sharp in a continuous keep-on-learning proces.

Cons

watch out for burn out! During my 7 working years a European Department was created and grew from 4 HC to 20 HC. While still in the process of expanding it was a shock for the +/- 180 employees to hear the announcement of the closure of the entire European site. I consider this a capital mistake in vision at the senior management level. But also this comes with the fast paced international environment I suppose...

Pros

I imagine this is very dependent on line management but I find my team and supervisors to be true champions of a high performing and highly compassionate work culture. I find my work challenging and rewarding, and have had opportunities to learn and grow and be rewarded and recognized for my output. No job is perfect but I’m truly happy to work here and at a time when AZ is truly rising like a rocket.

Cons

Like any massive global corporate entity, things can sometimes move slowly and it can be challenging to navigate a high number of constantly evolving priorities and initiatives. That being said, AZ is very clear about its north stars and values which makes it possible to prioritize work that has the most impact and alignment with the company’s ambition and business prerogatives. 60% office attendance policy is also a bit funny when oftentimes I am on Teams calls with colleagues sitting in other areas of the world.
