Pros
Annual promotion almost guaranteed for lower management, pay increases considerably with each promotion
Cons
Rarely a company bonus, Targets are conflicting and almost impossible to achieve, understaffed with positions remaining unfilled for 3-6 months, no pay increase if you don't get a promotion, layoffs every few years, Senior management makes huge annual bonus, even if no one else does.
