Pros

- Friendly co workers - Decent work life balance - Somewhat diverse for a tech company (though not in management)

Cons

- Below market compensations - Worthless stock options - Lots of redundancy in the overly complex management structure - Too many managers that make themselves look busy to justify their job - Constantly asked to do more with less and never re-evaluating compensation - 10 year old tech debt that constantly worsens; "Implement features fast, repair them for the next 100 years" should be the motto of this company - Return to office despite every single meeting still being on zoom and most employee voicing against this measure. - Too many managers and "thinkers" but not enough actual doers

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback. We appreciate your insights and the time you’ve spent with us over the last five years. We're glad to hear that you value your colleagues and the work-life balance we strive to maintain. We also recognize the importance of diversity in leadership and are working on initiatives to improve representation at all levels. We acknowledge your concerns regarding compensation, stock options, and workload. Our goal is to remain competitive in the market, and we continuously review our compensation structures to align with industry standards. We understand that growth and efficiency should be balanced with employee recognition, and your input helps inform those discussions. Regarding technical debt, it’s a challenge for all successful, scaling-up companies in the software industry. That’s why, in 2021, we implemented a transparent architecture vision and an enabler roadmap whose main purpose is to address technical debt and evolve our modern architecture. As a rule of thumb, teams prioritize their capacity each quarter according to a guideline adapted to each team’s reality: 40% for features, 40% for enablers, and the remaining 20% for support escalations. This approach ensures a significant investment in enablers. Feedback from teams and from developers like yourself is integrated into the enabler roadmap and shapes how we address these challenges. Don’t hesitate to bring your concern to the staff+ people. We know that hybrid work continues to be a topic of discussion. While many meetings still happen on Zoom, we value the collaboration, bonds, and learning that come from in-person interactions. Cross-functional communication and informal learning opportunities in the office are important aspects of how we work together and innovate. Our hybrid model reflects this balance and remains a key part of how we operate. We truly appreciate your contributions and your perspective. If you'd like to discuss your feedback further, we encourage you to reach out to your manager or your HRBP. Your insights help us improve and work toward being the great workplace we aspire to be. Sincerely, The AlayaCare People & Culture Team

Pros

Great benefits and employee engagement. The product itself is modern and user friendly.

Cons

AlayaCare had extremely high turnover coming from leadership all the way down to their base-level employees. There seems to be a strong favor towards Canadian employees vs American employees. Lack of HR support when you need it most - I would know, I was harassed by another employee for several months before the person was held accountable. Lacking representation of black and brown employees.
