Pros

No upper limit on how much you can make. If you can somehow convince the owner of the company to sit down with you and your mentor and sell them insurance you get a cut.

Cons

You don't get paid unless you close deals. Have to pay out of pocket for almost all costs. Vast majority of people are not interested in insurance.

Pros

Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

Cons

No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
