My particular job-site supervisor seemed genuine and was very accommodating when people needed time off or last minute schedule changes. Short-term contracts let you make some money and then move on to new opportunities or just take a break without all the hassles associated with jumping quickly between permanent employers.
Cons
May or may not get benefits based on the length of your contract/employment. Pay rates are non-negotiable with some right where you would expect them to be but others dramatically higher or lower than they should be by comparison.
