Pros

-Good training program for entry level recruiters. -Did meet some of my current best friends through Aerotek - great opportunity for sales only

Cons

-Management/ leadership - looks down upon recruiters and there is so much miscommunication between recruiters and sales managers/director. As a recruiter you are never right and your opinion does not matter. -Micromanagement- sales managers have no management experience. As a recruiter you can expect many emails, calls, or meetings throughout the day and depending on the manager they do not know how to handle feedback or giving feedback. As a man you will be expected to have a clean cut look or you will be handed a razor to go shave your face when you get into work. -NO work life balance- you will be expected to be in not even a minute past 7:30am. you will be working normal hours 7:30am - 7pm. -Cannot trust management/ Director- some of the women employees are told to wear more makeup and to do their hair differently, and to dress a certain way. Hostile environment where some women are sexually harassed by a Director practice leads, higher ups, and sales managers. No serious actions are taken to handle the problems. They push everything under the rug that makes them look bad. -Immaturity- sales managers would swear, scream and call recruiters out in front of everyone if you were not doing things their way , didn't hit your metrics or if they were having a hard day. -unethical- they act like they always care about their employees or candidates best interest. but are only worried about what is best for them. As a recruiter you want what is best for your candidates and if a candidate chooses another job/ or if they aren't happy at the one you placed them in the managers blame you. If something happens in an employee's/ candidate's personal life, well it doesn't matter you should be at work (even with PTO/ vacation time). -Intense environment with unrealistic expectations-There is not enough time in one realistic work day for recruiters to hit all of their expectations (phone calls, submittals, interviews, sourcing, set meetings, and more). if you do not hit your activity expect to stay until you do or you will be coming in on the weekend to hit it. -High turn over- Management/leadership does not see their own faults and this is why recruiters are leaving. -You better be able to have a "story" or share your feelings or it is not acceptable/ you will not get anywhere in the company Do not work at Aerotek if you cannot handle high stress

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
