Pros

The Melbourne offices have a nice view over the city and are within walking distance to good cafes. Hours of work are relatively short (40-hour weeks usually). Office environment is casual so you don't have to wear a suit every day.

Cons

Junior and mid-level staff are hideously underpaid, and while I cannot speak for senior level staff salaries, employees are evaluated on their financial cost to the business - e.g. several Directors were asked to leave because of low billability, when ironically these are the people who bring in the work that can be billed in the first place. Also, despite the higher overall cost, instead of promoting good people from within, the default is to hire someone external. All examples of short-term thinking and leadership. There is an element of a 'boys club' with a small subset of staff being valued, with only tokenistic recognition of others. Leadership/management tends to be by people who were just in the right place at the right time, i.e. those left behind after the really talented staff quit (or the seemingly 'expensive' ones were asked to leave). The leftover staff are underexperienced, disconnected from reality, and unable to really effect any change.

Pros

- Work wasn't overly demanding and teammates were great.

Cons

- Pay was low and raises/promotions seemed to be awarded by favoritism rather than work.
