Pros

The company seems to offer very good salary and benefits The company provides varied assignments away from one's home office Office and employee support in logistical areas, such as office space, administrative facilities, copiers, computer hardware and software, IT tech assistance, etc are top notch.

Cons

Although senior management provided timely and appropriate "big picture" information to employees, middle management seemed to provide very little communications in those areas that directly affected employees. As a long time professional working in the area of architect-engineer-construction management services, I have been used to being a "sellor-doer" in pursuing work and then providing the services to a client base with which I have developed good working relationships. Unfortunately, AECOM's business model appears to require that one be either or the other. Staff are either marketing or operations, but little opportunity to do both exists.

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
