      Deeply misguided after leadership change

      Pros

      The company's mission is extremely important and the team believes in working towards a more sustainable future. It's not greenwashing, compostable packaging could certainly be an important part of reducing the use of single-use plastics.

      Cons

      After a recent change in leadership, employee turnover is rapid. Remaining team members are left carrying the burden of additional work, struggling to complete basic functions of the org. Expectations shift rapidly and leadership is quick lay blame for increasing disfunction on unsupported team members. Team culture quickly shifted from gritty and committed to fearful. The future of the company seems entirely in question at this stage.

      Loss of culture and no clear path forward

      Pros

      The company has a great mission, and you can tell the employees really care about the impact they are making in the sustainability space

      Cons

      The company culture has deteriorated rapidly over the second half of the year, especially since the cofounder took over CEO responsibilities. The cofounder is rude and uses his position to publicly reprimand employees, all while hiding it under the guise of his “passion” for the cause. The path forward for the company has also never been tangibly laid out to the team, and there are no quantitative goals on an individual, team, or company level.

      Elevate has a deeply purposeful mission and a clear strategy to accomplish its impact goals. Elevate operates in an Achieve Together culture that is passionate about relentlessly solving hard problems to renew the planet.

      Cons

      Sustainable packaging is not for the weary. We face hard problems, demanding customers and a long way to go to save the planet.
