Very serious cases of moral harassment

- see below, before harassment is addressed, I cannot morally justify it to myself to talk about some practical aspects.

Cons

I have seen several employees be torn apart by the two founders. Mostly women, sometimes men. The founders' incautious enthusiasm in using NLP in the worst way, as means to their ends, is a serious issue. The founders have most of the traits of narcissists. And because they are two, they mutually encourage one another in believing the stories they tell themselves so they can be right. No matter what. If you become a victim, you are ostracized, publicly humiliated (open space), yelled at,... The founders call it benevolence, I call it harassment, very serious harassment. Even without being a victim, it's a terrible environment to work in. I don't see what kind of perk can justify working there, there are plenty of other decent companies to work for.

Hello, This is very serious indeed, and would probably benefit from some context. If you are willing to share more information about this case (even anonymously), feel free to send an email to wellbeing@euranove.eu. This will help us make sure this kind of situation never occurs again. In 2016 an indirect feedback about a feeling of sexism in EURA NOVA led us to establish a structural remedy to this point, having a woman as an official trust person for those questions. Since then, we haven't seen any volunteer departure of a woman, and take it as a good sign. This fight is never over, and we keep an eye on it. NLP is actually taught insight EURA NOVA to everyone willing to participate to what we call the "communication workshops", and is presented as a tool to support communication and people interaction. We read you had a bad experience, and we are sorry for that. No one should feel ostracized or humiliated. The frame we set up around feedback exchange is probably helping. We are not sure of the period concerned by this feedback, but a good aspect of naricissism can be its willingness to improve, so we hear this, and will measure how far from this description we are now, and how we will move further.

Nothing worth mentionning from a company/career perspective Great colleages to work with

They hire mainly juniors, sell them the company as a Google like (Research, buzzwords, worklife balance...) but the reality is deceiving : it's another body-shopping company which will assign you to the first project in their pipeline whether you have the right skills or not to take it. The management does not take in consideration your career development seriously nor your feedback (active listening is not in the menu). Regardless of the value you bring to the company, when you decide to leave peacefully and keep good relations, management consider and promote you as the devil or a fool who lost their life opportunity. Think twice and ask the company "alumnis" before joining ...

Thank you for giving feedback, although we’d have preferred to get it through our process of self improvement based on mutual feedback. There may be a bit of confusion in your message, as EURA NOVA presents its activity as based on three pillars : scientific research (more than 45 scientific papers published to date), solutions development (digazu is a good example), and consulting. Indeed, consulting consists in helping companies address their technical challenge through the intervention of people, sometimes in a time and means contractual relationship. We regret you didn’t feel listened to, and this is a track we constantly improve, especially in career development and thanks to employees’ initiatives, taking ownership of improvement processes for the whole company. We can reassure you that nobody is seen as devil or fool, and we regret that you might feel like it. Your piece of advice is a good one, ask different company alumnis about their experience at EURA NOVA, but also current employees, the perception can vary strongly from one person to another. The strong culture of EURA NOVA can be a source of this kind of span in terms of perception. At the center of it, we put our people as the main vector of value creation.
