      Excellent pay, vacation, benefits, bonus' Professional development opportunites Important work Location, free parking, excellent on-site amenities, gym, cafe, on-site massage Generous severance packages for when you are culled

      Cons

      You will report to a coordinator, supervisor, manager, director, vice-president, president, executive president, CEO, Board, and the City of Calgary. Yearly fall employee cull with the extent depending on the a change or state of leadership, personal mandates and/or budgets. If you are not protected by your scarcity of talent, or by your personal relationships with leadership...you will be tapped on the should one day, and asked to vacate the premisis with the excuse that they are 'streamlining efficiencies'.

      Incompetent leadership, the higher you grow in the organization the more you realize that there are few qualified leaders and yet they continue to make critical decisions involving their employees' lives and livelihoods with very little regard. Many roles that were eliminated early in 2021, are now being advertised and recruited for, which indicates a high cost and effort with little return. Efforts around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is performative and is a detriment to overall innovation and growth. Salaries are no longer competitive and the internal inequity will not allow for any pay transparency initiatives.
