Pros

Colleagues are great to work with and are supportive and welcoming Good Location, easy to get to Private grounds, old listed building to work in. In house training provided if you ask for it.

Cons

Salaries way below regional average with not much opportunity for a pay rise. Often made to feel undervalued by management. No room for progression into a management position as all of the existing managers have been there for more than 15 years and will not be going anywhere. Outdated custom, DOS-based ticketing system. Lack of qualifications will be made a hindrance regardless of experience No option to go on any external training courses to gain further qualifications. Only in house and materials for self study is provided Technical department (IT Service desk) is split into 3 separate rooms when they are the biggest department. The smallest department is in the biggest room. Internal departments rarely communicate effectively and feel like separate companies. Software support department rarely want to assist technical department when service issues cross each other. Chairman rarely leaves his offices, doesn't really have anything to do with staff members below management.
