    Pros

I worked at Cvent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good colleagues, decent benefits, decent pay

    Cons

Leadership changes its position constantly with no transparency. If you're stressed from COVID they put you on a PIP because you're not reaching their new extreme targets that were made after COVID started. Sorry that I can't fill 30 hours of "productive" work (vaguely described) per week when the workload immediately dropped off. Especially when leadership was lazy at providing actual work to do in that time. And then when you reach your PIP targets they say that your ADHD is the reason why you can't keep your job (looking at multiple different displays during meetings does not mean I'm not focusing, but thanks for your consideration, nor does typing in Slack 4 minutes after my shift starts that I'm here mean I'm actually late.) No chance for promotion or raise unless you're exceeding any reasonable worker target.

I have been working at Cvent full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Competitive Salary -Competitive Benefits -Travel Opportunities -Access to multiple training platforms for professional development -Application support tasks are wide and varied, I am never bored! -Work with world class tools daily -Very supportive leadership team that wants to see you grow -Relaxed work from home policy -Upper management promotes discussion with them and doesn't restrict communication through formal channels. -Hard work is rewarded -Application support team gets to experience all aspects of the SDLC -Cvent has world class talent working there, great learning opportunities from these people.

    Cons

-Weekly timesheets. These aren't strictly questioned and are meant more for a high level view of how the team is spending it's time. Can get tedious though. -The downside of a relaxed work environment means it can get noisy in the office. Need a good set of noise cancelling headphones.

  10. "(Not so) hidden gem in Fredericton!"

    5.0
Current Employee - Applications Support Engineer in Fredericton, NB

I have been working at Cvent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Great team of smart and driven people willing to help others grow - Cool products, tech stacks, opportunities to drive change and make an impact - Awesome variety of work in the role (non-customer facing support, automation/integration/load testing, internal tooling development and code tracing, error logging, database optimization and scripting, site reliability, etc.) - Solid perks (advancement, compensation, benefits, flexible hours, work from home policies, travel to headquarters and other offices) - Impressive reach as the leader in the event management space globally and our level of clients, despite being somewhat lesser known as a company in the area

    Cons

    - Time sheets are a bit of a pain - Very rare, but availability of others in different time zones to get a hold of certain teammates - Also rare on-call coverage or high priority event monitoring a few times a year
