Pros

Nothing positive to say about this company.

Cons

Jerrick Media is an extremely sketchy and downright awful place to work! The CEO thinks it is totally acceptable to have his conference calls with speaker phone on so everyone in the room can hear his conversations. Also, he loves randomly yelling at employees and changing seats around as if it were kindergarten. Professional businesses never have their employees randomly moving seats. The CEO thinks it's acceptable to treat the office like his den and walk around barefoot. It's baffling how he feels his business is thriving when he often bounces checks. The reason everyone who works at this company is in their 20s is because adults with business sense realize how the whole company is a joke and wouldn't even think about settling for this type of disgusting behavior and being taken advantage of.

You must love working hard and being yelled at all day to work here.

Pros

WFH once a month, lots of great food nearby, low-level employees are friendly. You'll learn a LOT.

Cons

You're very rushed into your role here, given a day or two of training and then thrown to the wolves. The CEO and upper management act like you're incredibly stupid, but the CEO is not very smart himself; comes up with stupid ideas but no one can say that his ideas are bad. Management will admit that they're bad ideas but you still have to do them. You're expected to take your work home with you and work extra unpaid hours. You're basically not given a lunch at ALL. Hours are long, job is thankless, and you don't get any benefits. The commute also sucks if you don't live really close by. You'll be fired if you aren't absolutely perfect; their turnover rate is disgustingly high. I left of my own volition but most people don't. The culture is super toxic.

Pros

You might meet some talented people before they quit.

Cons

I don’t even know where to begin. They care more about saying things than doing them. They favor quantity over quality always. I’ve never seen so much ego in one place. I’ve witnessed failure after failure at that company and then listened to the ceo lie to the investors. Literally making people do the dumbest things you can imagine and then wondering why it doesn’t work. Don’t do something that works though if they didn’t order it! You will literally get punished for success if it wasn’t the CEO’s idea. I could go on forever. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they forced employees to write reviews on here to skew the rating higher.
