Lots of time sitting and resting.
Cons
Lots of time sitting and resting not being paid. Contrans counts on drivers not knowing what their entitlements are eg. Extra pay for extended loading unloading, oversize, tarping, layovers etc. They like drivers dumb, with a goofy smile on their faces, and who don't say no. Contrans is too heavy, with administrative staff competitive with each other for the best numbers, at drivers expense. Office staff are happy, drivers are not. If you are a new driver looking for a couple of years experience then get out, then contrans is the right place.
