Pros

The customers are very nice The mission statement is lovely and would be great if actually practiced in all aspect of the business

Cons

micro-managing owner no positive feedback very high turnover late hours pays under the table with no record or pay stub of hours worked, takes advantage of employees time and efforts no safety regulations or practices Management discusses employee's personal details with the public with no sense of privacy Very little care and attention to details that matter, such as cleanliness and quality of services and products, heavy emphasis on upcharging small portion sizes Owner makes up own rules as she goes along, as long as it's convenient and suits her needs. Brings personal issues to work and creates a hostile and unsafe work environment Blames employees for everything that goes wrong and will post on social media and be very vocal about woes in order to gain sympathy. If you are desperate enough to work here document EVERYTHING and keep meticulous records of your schedule, hours worked, pay agreement, and try to get your I-9 filed IMMEDIATELY.

Pros

Coworkers were hard working and felt like a small family. The written mission of the cafe is beautiful.

Cons

Management constantly brought personal life into work and didn't value the time or efforts of the employees. Employees received seldom positive feedback. Mission of the cafe is poorly executed.
