Pros

Good compensation. Focus on human centered design in government.

Cons

Ask them about employee turnover rate. Ask them about their performance review process. Ask them about transparency both internally and with clients. Ask them about role definitions and standard practices. Ask them about the quality of their healthcare plan. Ask them about stress level. Listen carefully to how they answer.

Mean girls and boys club

Pros

Coforma offers good salary and benefits.

Cons

The company is like a mean girls and guys club with tons of gossip behind peoples backs. The people who are teacher's (company owners') pet do well, others struggle to manage all the roles they are expected to play and there is very little room to call out the leadership for mismanagement.

Pros

Unlimited PTO (although company and project policies are making it increasingly more difficult to use), some fantastic people have stuck it out through the last couple of years of nonsense

Cons

Other folks have commented on poor company leadership, so I’ll add: projects are horribly chaotic and mismanaged. Current MO for many is to just grab a ticket or task and complete it in silence. No real prioritization of professional development, which should start at the project level. Skills get stale fast. If you really want to work in federal contracting, look at other companies in the space and make sure to get an overview of the specific project you’ll be working on before committing.
