Pros

My co-workers were amazing, kind and beyond talented...That's about it, I will break down the cons.

Cons

Here are the cons, it stems from so many different things, this place is INSANE: 1. The owner: - He should not be running any company, ever. He doesn't know what he wants and makes no sense. He just repeats the same things "Let's not reinvent the wheel", "That's just my 2 cents" which really translates to "Do what I say because I'm the boss". You can't mask that by saying that we should do what we think is best when you deep down don't mean it. - He has without a doubt the most UNREALISTIC expectations I have ever seen. When I see what he wants to accomplish it's laughable, I understand its good to want to be optimistic and have real goals but the goals will NEVER happen, no matter who you hire, I promise you that. - He will NEVER tell you, you did good or have ANY positive reinforcement. Everyone seems afraid of him. How is that leadership? 2. The Polices, both terrifying and hilarious (lol) - Let's start with the horrific PTO. You barley get any and they mix it in with your sick days! You do not get paid holidays for Christmas eve, day after Thanksgiving, day after 4th of July. I have never worked in a company like this. Also no paternity or maternity leave, if you have a child you have to leave your wife and newly born child at home. So if you have a baby you are expected to work the next day or use PTO. That is DISGUSTING! - You can NOT be more than 5 minutes late (lol). They will literally lock the door and you will have to walk through the front and do the walk of shame. We are salary employees, its 2024 what is going on?! But they will call for meetings late. Who still does this? Also, what kind of a grace period is 5 minutes? We live in California, the traffic is insane! - They will spy on you. The place literally has cameras everywhere. I have never seen this in my 14 professional years. They will tell you that it is for safety lol. I literally just had desks and computers around. No it's so you can spy on your employees. 3. HR: - The HR and boss are husband and wife, that is the definition of a conflict of interest. - HR is barley even there! 4. High turn over: - People are in and out here. If you take a role here, it won't be for too long unless you are related. If you are reading this and are doing marketing, someone else will have your job in a few months, and then someone will take their spot. Nobody wants to work here. It's depressing, I don't blame them. If you are reading this, trust me, you will regret working here. I hope you remember this review. Just work somewhere else, the wait and search for better options, just wait it out and it will be worth it. Never in all my years have I seen a company be so outdated with their policies. NOBODY does these things.

The record and data show you are borderline incompetent and had been always late during the employment, not even single time you were on time. The data and record shows you had NOT met any deadline for the assigned projects at all. And your coworkers say you have lack of product knowledge, so could NOT lead the team and come up with any suggestion. For PTO policy and paid holidays, you clearly read and signed it before joining the company. By the way, those days like christmas eve, day after thanksgiving and 4th of July that you mentioned are NOT holidays. For high turnover, you have no valid data or evidence that supports your statement, so not true although I understand you were so emotional at the moment because you got caught and discharged while looking for another job during work hours. Your excuse was "it was only part time search". Ask anyone if that makes sense and if what you have been claiming here is persuasive and make sense. Probably NOT to normal people. For camera, thanks to camera, yes you were caught for sleeping several times, not limited to part time job search during the work hours. Good luck with another employer who can bear with the above attitude and behavior during the work hours.

Pros

The literally only pro is most of the women that were there are easy to get along with.

Cons

Dangerous environment, took someone reporting them to the city for them to change. The owner is nice and I’m sure he’s great outside of work but they run the place like a slave drive. Won’t let you talk about how much you get paid or you get fired (but we did anyway) and found out they were underpaying someone. Very stressful environment.

Pros

Pay is okay, no pros

Cons

Managers are constantly fighting each other. No one gets along. Everyone tries to get each other in trouble. Workload/job description increases after getting hired on, not enough support from managers. Managers force a timeline for things to be completed and are not open to suggestions or change. No sick time just one PTO program that allows 5 days off a year including if you use that time if you’re sick or have an emergency. HR department as they like to call it, is the wife of the owner which is a complete conflict of interest. You’re asked to not talk to your coworkers since according to HR, “they don’t know anything, ask us if you have questions.” If you do, someone will end up telling HR that you weren’t “working but distracting other coworkers.” Its a constant war between Production department and Quality Department. If you want to work at a place where you can get along with your coworkers and possibly make friends, this is not the place to work.
