Pros
My experience as a reporting fellow was great. The pay was competitive compared to other internships and the training and support I received from my editors was tremendous.
Cons
It's a nonprofit, so there's always some uncertainty about the future. You also won't get as much daily newsroom experience as you would with other opportunities.
