Decent compensation for nonprofit sector
Cons
Not a safe place for queer folks or BIPOC. They talk the talk really, really well but there is not a ton of follow up in action or deeds. Harmful loyalty to white supremacy culture of "success", grit, and compliance trickles down from employee culture to kids in the programs. Staff who question or push back on these concepts are ignored or, if they keep it up, made into "problems" to be dealt with. A true cornerstone of the nonprofit industrial complex in our community which is a shame, since there are a lot of resources within this organization that could be making a real difference.
