Basic salary is poor compared to the sector and is a common grievance amoungst staff. When management is challenged on this, staff are often told if they want more money they need to work harder and get more commission. Commission structure eventually gets to a lucrative level although this can take years and years. Toxic employees with no desire to work never seem to be under any threat of dismissal.

My previous review had 1 con around the recent acquisition. It was an anonymous review but I had put my job role and location. Everyone with the same job title in that location was pulled into a meeting with manager and directors. The review was quoted and we were pressed individually about it. I was honest and owned up to writing it, I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else in trouble for what I wrote. I was made to change the review by one of the directors to have zero cons. I left the business not long after that.
