Pros

Great colleagues who help each other when in need.

Cons

Very disappointing. What seemed like a great opportunity to learn about the hospitality business quickly turned into a nightmare. The so called manager and the owner, David, micromanage your every move, but at the same time expect you to make your own decisions, which will always be wrong no matter what. They are both extremely rude and treat their employees horribly. No wonder most people quit after a few days there. I was only there for 3 weeks, and by the time I left I was the second oldest employee after a kid who had been there for 2 months. No benefits, no paid vacations, no sick days, no overtime opportunity, no health, no dental, no bonuses on Christmas. I would strongly urge everyone to stay away from this place.

Worst Place Ever

Pros

Awful, there are none.

Cons

Haven't worked there in a few years, but I thought I would share a warning to anyone considering working here (they are ALWAYS hiring) - don't do it. The owner is not a good person (understatement). The place is a dump. It makes me sad that the staff is still clearly being treated awfully, based on these other reviews. Run!

Pros

Honestly, I can't think of any.

Cons

The owner David is one of the most vile human beings I have ever met. My colleagues and I were so unhappy with our jobs that it created a really uncomfortable working environment. You will do the job of 5 people while barely making more than minimum wage with zero benefits. While I was there we had mice/rats, bed bugs and beds falling apart/things constantly breaking. It was the front desk people that had to deal with everything because David is too cheap to hire proper management and too much of a coward to deal with the customers himself. I'm sure David is breaking some laws/legal codes but he is careful to do the bare minimum and cover up whatever faults there may be. This place manages to stay in business because it's one of the only affordable (80-250 dollars per night) places in Brookline, unfortunately.
