      Bullying atmosphere in need of internal review

      Pros

      Always a job going as high turnover of staff.

      Cons

      Owner bully’s staff and berates them to the point of shouting in there faces. You on encouraged to spy on fellow members of staff and report any findings to the boss. You are ordered to leave positive reviews about the company online and are often held responsible when negative ones are left. Pay does not match the rest of the signage industry. Designers who’d been there for years were only slightly over minimum wage. You will often be asked to perform tasks outside your job role. I.e cleaning, admin or collecting payments.

      Aggression, bullying, violent behavior. Completely disconnected from reality.

      If you have such strong feelings and feel the need to be insulting regarding our company please identify yourself so we can clear these matters up. Unfortunately we can't place who you are as the position you state you were employed as for 1 - 2 years doesn't add up and if the company was that bad why did you stay with us for this length of time.

      Manipulation and Bullying

      Pros

      It’s been notoriously easy to get a job at BD signs due to the high turnover of staff.

      Cons

      The number one issue everyone has with this company is the owner and management. They subject staff to bullying and devalue everyone below them, most of whom are apprentices who are employed as cheap labour. You will be asked to do all manner of things which have nothing to do with your job role; - you’ll be asked to hoover and clean toilets - you’ll be made to write positive reviews to counter the negative ones about the company. - you’ll be made to do free overtime with sometimes the false promise of payment. This is the high stress job model but without any of the benefits. There were designers who had been there for many years but were still only paid £1 over minimum wage.
