I have been working at BC Hydro full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

CEO is honourable guy. Benefits plan is one of the best

    Cons

No one in exec or management below the rank of CEO really believes in work - life balance. No recognition of work above or beyond. Two sets of rules -- one for the exec and another for the management or staff. Strong discouragement of creativity. Over emphasis on perfection instead of good enough.

    Pros

Bc hydro is a great company to work for. The Indigenous relations team of approximately 65 people is fun and dynamic.

    Cons

Very hierarchical and clicky. New ideas are often stifled by old ways and popular viewpoints expressed mainly by long-term employees. Very difficult to change practices to allow for modernization of processes and view points.

    Pros

Good benefits. Decent co-workers depending on person.
