Ok for event security

Pros

Flexible schedule, lots of venue and event options, easy to "advance" to Alcohol Enforcement or Supervisor if you just do your job and ask about it. Pay is competitive for what it is. The casual environment and culture is usually a plus. Company head is on site at larger events and approachable

Cons

Pretty disorganized admin staff and management. Expect some unprofessional behavior/conduct from management and supervisors all the way to the top. Very little training.

Last event I worked a 12 hour shift; heat index was 104 degrees, I got no break they brought me one bottle of water and cold under cooked "baked potato " a foil pack of cold frozen broccoli a large spoon full maybe and a pack of peanut butter crackers. about 320 collieries for 12 hours. If it wasn't for the kindness of a stranger that gave me 2 bottles of water I'm not sure I would have walked out of there. I got home and cramped up so bad if I could have driven to the emergency room I would have.
