You will get burnt out from the workload after a year. The turnover is massive here. Applied Tech most likely has close to 30-40% turnover in a year. It seemed like every other week someone is resigning.
They bring on new clients that they cannot handle. Sales will regularly coax large potential clients in, meanwhile, the NOC would be complaining that they are overloaded and cannot support another 100+ user company. It was not uncommon to be working over 30 different tickets at a time. Some techs have hit as high as 50-60 different tickets they are trying to work, but still get more piled onto them.
If you are level 2, you will be on call about once a quarter for a week. If you are level 3, you will be on call once a month for a week. You can expect to be living on the phone and computer on the weekends.
