Pros

Completely remote work until they open up an office in banglore

Cons

1. Invasive Surveillance & Privacy Violations The company requires employees to install monitoring software on their personal laptops that enables continuous screen recording and live webcam capture through their timesheet system. None of this is disclosed during interviews or onboarding. Management justifies it as being "for your own good" so HR can verify you're working. In practice, an AI reviews the captures and webcam feed, forcing you to constantly demonstrate visible activity just to satisfy the algorithm. 2. Toxic Work-Life Balance & Extreme Hours Working hours run 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM daily with no flexibility. On top of this, you are required to submit a detailed Word report with screenshots at end of day, and another report first thing the next morning covering the same ground. The reporting overhead alone consumes significant personal time and adds zero business value. 3. Monitoring of Private Chats & Zero Trust Culture Management exports and reviews internal Zoho team chats, including 1:1 private conversations. Nothing you say to a colleague is private. The entire culture is built on surveillance and distrust, making natural peer communication effectively impossible. 4. Management Style & Professional Conduct The project manager lacks both technical understanding of engineering deliverables and basic professional communication. Rather than providing clear requirements, he deflects technical gaps through aggressive behavior. To illustrate just how petty the environment is — a common colloquial word like "man" used casually in a 1:1 chat was formally escalated to HR, because apparently the expectation is to address him as "sir" at all times. Not addressed directly, not mentioned verbally — escalated to HR. Over the word "man." This single incident captures the management style better than anything else: controlling, insecure, and completely disconnected from what actually matters in an engineering environment. Feedback consistently ignores actual engineering output and fixates on minor behavioural issues. Calls frequently become hostile. Conclusion & Advice to Management This organization runs on surveillance, distrust, and micromanagement rather than actual productivity metrics or engineering outcomes. Every system in place — the screen monitoring, the webcam feeds, the exported chats, the double reporting — exists to police people, not enable them. In my opinion, this company has confused activity with output, and control with leadership. Working here felt less like a professional environment and more like a digital sweatshop — and until leadership shifts focus from tracking pixels to actual business value and basic workplace respect, this company will remain exactly where it has been since 2014 — going nowhere.
