I have been an intern at Adopter for 9 weeks, working part-time. My interview and onboarding experience was very positive. Kat and Matt were extremely accommodating which helped with what was a thorough interview process. I have ASD, which I had disclosed to them, so they sent me the interview questions beforehand and throughout my internship, they have continued to be very helpful. It was made clear from the start that this would not be a ‘getting tea’ type of internship and I have felt very involved and valued. I was given responsibility from my first week, completing tasks that were challenging and exciting. My hourly boundaries were very well respected and meeting times were always agreed on before they took place. Kat was excellent in helping me with my own career development, taking the time to give me 1-1 sessions on employability and giving me the chance to ask as many questions as I pleased. Both Matt and Kat have not just welcomed but encouraged curiosity and innovative thought as part of my role. Adopter’s work is inspiring, their clients are at the forefront of their fields and some of the true thought leaders of our world. I truly value my experience with them and am excited to be staying on to do freelance marketing.
Cons
My experience at Adopter has been overwhelmingly positive, it is a fast-paced working environment which may not suit all but this is well managed within the company.
