interview was very one sided with hr rattling off questions from their sheet then went roughly 2 whole months with hearing nothing back after trying to reach out just for an auto 'we went with other candidates' email
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at audiochuck in Feb 2025
Interview
This was honestly one of the weirdest interviews I've ever had. I had a first round video call with HR that was 45 min, which right off the bat is super weird. In my experience, the first call with HR is over the phone and acts as a screening call to make sure my experience aligns with the role and it would be a good culture fit. This HR director proceeded to directly read from a list of interview questions that the hiring manager should've been asking. After I answered each question, she didn't say ANYTHING. No acknowledgement of my answer, no back and forth, and no give and take. So, we proceeded to sit in silence while she would take notes on my response and she scrolled through her list of questions and decide which one to ask next. It was so incredibly awkward - this went on the whole interview. I don't know if she was just inexperienced or didn't like me, but regardless it was unprofessional and left me wondering what just happened. On top on that, it took way too long for her to follow-up on next steps and I had to reach out a multiple times to inquire about next steps. Needless to say, when I received an AUTOMATED email 3 weeks later letting me know I didn't make it to the next round (couldn't even be bothered to send me a personal note) I wasn't that surprised or upset about it.

After receiving that automated email, I reached out to the Senior Lead of Talent who I interviewed with to gain more insight as to why because I felt like I was a good fit. I didn't receive a response. I followed up with the Senior Lead, Talent on June 2 and she responded with "At the time of your interview, we were already in the final stages with a candidate and ultimately decided to move forward with that individual. I understand this isn’t the news you were hoping for, and I appreciate your patience throughout the process."

The jobs have been reposted on LinkedIn several times. I followed up again on September 30, 2025 and haven't received a response. I also followed up with a first degree LinkedIn connection who works in the C-suite level at AudioChuck on Sept 30th and haven't received a response.
On October 21st, I saw my first degree LinkedIn connection post the job yet another time and ask people to DM him if interested.
