I went through a lengthy interview process (around 9 weeks) and was verbally offered a role by the HR Director, pending client sign-off. I was told I would receive weekly updates and even paused my job search, declining two other offers while waiting.
After this, communication significantly dropped off, leaving me in limbo. I later learned from an employee who was leaving that internal redundancies and freezes were affecting the role.
I understand that business priorities and client approvals can delay hiring, but clearer and more consistent communication would have made a big difference.
