      UX-UI Designer Interview

      Oct 16, 2024

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at aelf in Sep 2024

      Interview

4 rounds in total (including the 1st one which is a quick phone call with HR); second to fourth rounds are all video calls. Time between rounds was minimal. The second round was with a team lead who asked about my design approach as well as my opinions on new and emerging technology. Between the second and third rounds, I was given a take-home design test; I was asked to redesign the landing page of one of the company's business units. I was allowed to decide how much time I needed for this test. HR let me know that the wider team liked what I had produced and in the third round (with another team lead), I was asked to explain how I had approached the redesign. The final round was with the HR lead; I was surprised that even in this round, I was asked questions pertaining to my approach to UX. After this round, the company ghosted me.
