      Sales Interview

      Jun 1, 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Zywave in May 2012

      Interview

These people are nuts. They select you based on your resume. Then they ask you to take this 2 hour skills assessment. Then without ever talking with you, they decide they are going to move forward without you by sending you a form email. If this company bases heir hiring on this kind of thing, they are not the kind of company I want to work for. I have over two decades of sales experience doing the very thing they are asking their reps to do. After looking at some of the other reviews on glass Door, I can see why they are rated so low. What a terrible way to do business.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zywave in Jul 2013

      Interview

The process begins with a form letter that states that you have been selected to proceed with the initial screening stage of the interview upon the completion of an online aptitude assessment. The assessment measures certain logic and problem solving capabilities as well as profiling your personality traits. If you pass that test, you are invited to an interview over Skye where you will be asked to complete another online aptitude assessment in a proctored setting. The interview will also spell out the nature of the position as well as determining whether you are the right fit for what they're looking for. They are also going to ask to see W2s to verify your income. If your test results meet their expectation and the screening interview reveals that you are a match for what they're looking for, you'll advance to a phone interview with the Regional Sales Manager and possibly the VP. Expect a lot of questions about how you reach out to the customer and get the sale. The sales position is really about whether you can do telesales. The metrics they provided was that you needed to make 40 calls to get 1 meeting and that you needed to get 4 prospects to get a sale. Overall, they're looking for a call volume of about 25 new calls a day. The average value of the sale given was about $ 15,000. They are looking for people that can really hit the phones and dial for dollars. Depending on the quota that you're given, you're really going to have to make a lot of calls. Given the reviews about high turnover, my guess is that people have difficulty reaching the traction they need to have to reach their number.
