      Senior Product Manager Interview

      Jun 11, 2026

      No offer

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Zearn in May 2026

      Interview

First call was great. Second call with CPO sucked. First off, a strong east coast bias — everyone talked way too fast. A nice exterior tone, but it is quick to tell that it’s a NYC/Boston overly-direct east coast style of communication. At the core, it’s rude and not friendly at all. The role as described was overly ambitious — a PM should be a PM, a Project Manager, a General Manager, AI builder, UI designer, and more. Short paid parental leave compared to every other company. Interviewers were late, but not willing to stay late afterwards to be fair. Interrupted several times, but were upset when they were interrupted. No self introductions and no breaking the ice … Just right into the questions in only 2 minutes of meeting someone. It was very rude. The CPO and underlings have all been there for 10+ years — it was very much a “old club” like atmosphere based on who you know. If you don't have the same MBA/Consulting pedigree as they do, then why even bother with the interview??? Finally, the leadership team lacks diversity.
