I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando (Berlin) in Mar 2019
Interview
On one of the Android meetups I got an information that Zalando is going to hire 10 Android devs at onse, so I thought it could be my chance. I applied online. Week later they sent me link to calendar to schedule HR screening. Next possible date was 3 weeks later. So, just to speak with HR you need to wait 4 weeks. I don't think such a huge company as Zalando can't find 30 minutes of any available recruiters sooner than in 1 month.
But, anyway. I know, that it's a Germany, you must wait in Germany. But it should be something worth waiting for. But, not. I am spending my time, preparing to call just to know that they have some technical issues. I proposed to make a phone call. No, she said "tomorrow". And disappeared for next 1,5 weeks.
Next time I got a letter from them I said I call off my application, because I already had 2 job offers.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Zalando in Nov 2021
Interview
I got an interview through the referral 1-an interview with an Engineer manager the goal of the interview was to get an idea of what kind of engineer I am. 2-Recruiter calls about salary expectation 3-Coding interview(a programming test that i should solve it in an hour) 4-System Design(It was about best practices and architecture design) the process took a long time and finally, they didn't give me a result after that I investigated the result, but I was rejected because, in the coding interview, the interviewer felt I'm depending on an idea for coding. In the coding interview, I solved the problem and passed the tests.
