The interview process was very straightforward and standard. I was externally referred by a colleague of mine who wasn't able to continue with her application for this position. After briefly speaking on the phone with a recruiter from HR, we scheduled to have an in person interview the following week. The interview consisted of meeting with the recruiter, senior designer and lastly the creative director. The recruiter took me around the building, which in my opinion was quite honestly a turn off. The floor has absolutely no natural lighting and seemed rather grundgy/dirty on the interior. At least Yext is located in a decent area (Flatiron). For the interview, I simply presented my portfolio, answered a few questions regarding my work/experience, and then had a casual conversation about the role. I enjoyed speaking to both creative director and senior designer as they were both quite friendly and intellectual. That being said, I wasn't sold that either of them was actually enthusiastic about the work that they were producing for the company.
