I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Yelp (Chicago, IL) in May 2019
Interview
Beginner level, very easy questions for anyone looking for a first-time sales role. They'll ask you to sell you something or pitch a small business in the area. You don't need any prior sales experience, but I would come prepared with questions as to why you're interested in sales and explain your eagerness to make money, that you're a hard worker, etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
