I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp (New York, NY)
Interview
Electronic Invite from current employee accelerated application turn around time to about 3 days after sending application in. Had that gone well I would have been brought in for a 3 person interview on site in their offices.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Phone interview was around Ten minutes with me doing all the talking, interviewer did not seem particularly engaged. I am not just out of college so multiple times it was mentioned by the interviewer that this would be "cold calls all day long" as if to see if I really wanted to do that (I don't think anyone does) despite their "cool" offices, but I made it seem I was eager to cold call. Perhaps I wasn't so convincing.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
