I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2009
Interview
The initial call is to screen how you conduct yourself over the phone and to verify the contents of your resume. They will call you back for an in person interview if they think you are qualified. I did three rounds of interviews with Senior Sales Managers. Each interview took about 15 minutes. They asked typical questions of your work history and how you would hypothetically conduct a sales call.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
