      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Boston, MA) in Jun 2023

      Interview

The interview starts with the recruiter, and this one pushed me into the next rounds. There are two rounds following where you meet with two managers a piece. First round is a theme where they talk about culture and character, the next round they look at your metrics and other behavioral questions around your results. This was what sealed the deal to not move forward... WorkDay uses a designated employee, a poster child of the company, to brag about how good the company is. When it came time to speak with other employees at the office I would be working in, I was either ignored or told that they could not speak with me. Candidates should be able to reach out to WorkDay employees, especially employees from the respective office they would be working in, since each office has its own culture. I was disheartened to see that I was only able to communicate with the designated person they used to talk about how "great this company is," because all it did was reinforce how potentially BAD the company is. Other companies like ServiceNow and a few other large corporations the size of WorkDay allow candidates to speak freely with other employees in either their office or company. An info session and designated employee are not enough to speak about the WHY behind why WorkDay is so supposedly "great." What is WorkDay trying to hide by doing this? There needs to be more transparency! I attended an info session in their office, and it felt almost felt like a Network Marketing/Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) / Pyramid scheme group where they had to constantly reinforce during their small break out groups, "How amazing we are!" and "by the way, did I tell you how amazing we are?" and "oh man, this is such a terrific company!" but I was not able to speak with anyone in their office, other than those individuals designated to speak at the event? They have a designated person to brag about the company and consider you a "friend" to speak with you over Zoom, then a designated group to brag about the company speak to you in-person. What are you REALLY trying to hide?

      Interview

The recruiting process took so long, and after 4 weeks and hearing nothing from the recruiters they came back to me with a simple email that i not was selected for the next stage. No feedback or anything, terrible recruiting process, specially after studying the company for so long and being prepared with the interview questions, and I felt i had chemistry with the hiring managers, one thing that i did not like was to be asked where i was from so i don't know if that was something that was part of the decision.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Where are you from ? What do you bring to the table? What's a no negotiable in your future company? Tell me about a time you had a major setback and how did you handle it?

      Interview

Applied and have a first round interview with a recruiter which went well and was engaging. Was moved along to a second round with a Senior Corporate Sales Development Representative who was late and unprepared for the interview. Had a good conversation but the interviewee did not appear engaged throughout the interview. Did not hear back after that interview.
