I worked at Workday full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great software. Easy to present and a new way of doing business. Good culture at the US Head Office Campus in Pleasanton. Great group of talent.

    Cons

The power of one is an overwhelm tag line. The Workday solutions bring other management transactional challenges. Does not live up to its reputation as a top employer. On-boarding experience was horrible and didn't provide the tools and knowledge to deliver efficiently in the first year ! originally, workday was a much better employer than Oracle and SAP. But they were corrupted by the arrival of manager from their...

    Advice to Management

Stick to your original plan. Do not dilute it. Export your US Business behavior and success to Canada and Europe. Don't let the new managers dictate a new way. Onboard people and coach them appropriately.

"QA is at the bottom of the Totem pole in the Victoria, BC, Canada Office only!"

I have been working at Workday full-time

    Pros

Workday(outside of Victoria office; outside of Mediacore acquisition) on its own is a phenomenal company! QA is taken very seriously by the rest of the company!

    Cons

    1) The Victoria office still operates as a small startup (Mediacore), while they reap the rewards of Workday. Sad! 2) They have no priorities in implementing QA into their workflow, unlike the rest of Workday. The Victoria office has over 60+ Devs and no QA.

    Advice to Management

    1) Take a lesson from the other organizations, and learn from them on what you need to incorporate QA. 2) Don't promote people to Manamgnet just because they've been with MediaCore from the beginning, hire people based on SKILLS and Accountability! And people that are going to make a difference to the Organization AND COMPANY!

I have been working at Workday full-time

    Pros

    Kitchen, bagels, drinks, snacks, swags

    Cons

It is a pseudo propriety software that is good at some HR areas, a lot of young kids are recruited to be exploited and brain washed in the name of culture. The power of one is a tag line but look any average implementation has over 15 integrations/interfaces to get simple tasks done and a crazy amount of manual work the customers take on, it is enough to put a dent on the power the software claim; built for the future...
