I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wolfjaw Studios
Interview
- Recruiter screen
- Panel Interview
This was one of the few panel interviews I've genuinely enjoyed. Kudos to the interviewers for creating an open and engaging discussion; the energy was great, and I felt a strong connection with everyone involved. I also believed I was well-qualified based on the role's requirements and the way the conversation unfolded.
However, I was surprised to receive a rejection citing qualifications not listed in the job description, nor present on my resume. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice a lack of diversity within the company, which is ironic given that the CEO has publicly acknowledged this issue in the industry and advocated for action to increase diversity. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be reflected in the company's current makeup—an example of corporate culture at work.
Recruiter screen. Then a panel type interview with some technical and behavioral discussion. At the very end of the interview I was told the position was actually already filled but another opened up for a different tech stack I didn't have experience in. I was assured that didn't matter, as long as I can learn and adapt. The next week I got the auto reject email.
