      Software Engineer Interview

      Nov 21, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Windranger (London, England) in Oct 2024

      Interview

For their game launcher team: Hyperplay . Was reached out to by recruiter on LinkedIn who was polite and initially responsive. Had an introductory chat and then was put in contact with someone to arrange my 1st interview. It was then cancelled and though I tried to rearrange it my messages were left unresponded. Received a rejection email a month later so I realise that that their lack of response was intentional which is ironic based on the advice I was given before interview about showing good communication skills. As an applicant I found this really unprofessional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was recommended to know about web3/gaming, about Hyperplay, and the most important thing was to show I was good at communication as this was something the company wanted to improve upon.
