7 rounds. Calls in person for almost every round. No culture of respect during offer terms discussion. Everyone except the SVP of tech were super nice. I was genuinely excited to join, I was already prepping myself to make a real difference to their tech practices and then during offer terms discussion, I was put down in spite of 7 good reviews, me matching up to the job description and never shirking back from showing up with respect and honesty myself. I was told other people's salaries, I was made to feel how I don't even deserve what they are currently offering, how nobody will give me what Dawson will with my experience. I interviewed for a senior Associate position and then snidely told that I will be PROMOTED to senior associate "realistically, with my experience", only 2 years or so down the road. This after dragging myself 40kms each way for their interviews! Why falsely advertise and interview me for a senior role? The SVP kept selling the firm's greatness to me, their one TESLA hire made a 1000 appearances in a 2-day conversation with him, and making non-relevant excuses for anything I ask for! It was horrible having to sit with a possible senior in the firm and talking about all this on a Saturday morning. I should try to join early, I should travel 4 days a week, I should be grateful for the salary they are offering, I should be thinking of possible growth in the firm while listening to downgrading, condescending comments from someone so high up, someone who doesn't have an ounce of communication skill! If the management so high up behaves this way then who knows what company culture they follow. I hope they make a page with their new name soon so I can repost and make people aware to not join in their tech team.
I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Whitehorse Liquidity Partners (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Their way of recruiting is really bad, they interview more than 30 candidates for the same role and there is no question which can help them differentiate and decide on which candidate to choose.

Interview
Simple interview with mix of behavioral and low-level technical questions about the PE industry. Mostly just a vibe check to make sure you would be the right fit for the team.
