I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walmart in Jun 2012
Interview
Hiring process was relatively easy. Applied online, received a call a week later for an interview, had an interview with an Assistant Manager and a Zone Supervisor. That was on Friday, and the following Thursday I was called and received a job offer. I accepted and then had two days of orientation followed by two days of CBLs (computer based learning) and then 7 days of on the job training. So far, I love working there.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time where you had to do something unexpected that made you nervous or anxious and how did you overcome it?
Easy to accomplish and not very difficult. Seemed if you used common sense you’ll be okay. Just be yourself and go in there prepared. Good luck! I didn’t get an offer but I was fine with that.
Fairly easy. Multiple rounds. Just have positive attitude. They’ll do an initial round. And then you meet with 2 other supervisors on 2 different occasions. They just want to make sure you will be friendly to customers and be able to listen and follow directions
The interview was fine but you definitely get the big box store vibe. It was a bit rushed through, I could tell the manager was going through the motions but I also don’t necessarily expect anything more.
