Honestly, the interview felt a bit different from what I expected. It was for an Angular Lead role, but most of the discussion was around HTML and CSS fundamentals. They also asked questions about React, Node.js, and MongoDB, which I wasn’t fully prepared for since I had mainly focused on Angular and JavaScript.
The Angular and JS parts went well, but it seemed like they were looking for someone with broader frontend or full-stack exposure rather than just strong Angular expertise.
Overall, it was a learning experience. I realized that for lead roles, companies often expect deeper fundamentals and cross-technology knowledge, not just framework-specific skills.
