1) The recruited repeatedly referred to me by the wrong name. Not a similar name mind you but completely different which suggested to me she was mixing me up with another candidate. 2) I had to take 2 online assessments with over 100 questions each and as far as I could tell they were the exact same assessments with repeating questions. 3) The COO (hiring manager) told me it was important that I had the right skills so people wouldn’t think I “suck”. I see they are still hiring for the role 7 months later which tells you all you need to know.

Ultimately a very frustrated COO asked me if I knew anything about project management. It was a very tactical conversation that frankly ignored my career long leadership experience, and one that could have been accomplished with the recruiter.

Interview
I had a series of interviews with half a dozen members of the team and completed an online assessment. After all of that time and effort, I never received a follow-up from the company. I emailed once, inquiring as to the status of my application and was informed that it still was pending. Six months later, I saw that they had hired someone else for the position.
This level of unprofessionalism is a bad sign for a company and may indicate an overworked staff.
It's surely a sign to stay away.
