I was asked to shadow one of the sessions before attending an interview with the founder. During the interview, I was asked whether I would be comfortable reporting to female supervisors, which seemed like a strange and unnecessary question. I was then offered a starting salary of just $1,800, with prior professional experience largely disregarded because it was not from the same industry. In today’s job market, $1,800 is an exceptionally low offer and felt completely out of touch with prevailing salary expectations. The overall impression was that the organisation was more focused on keeping salaries as low as possible than fairly assessing a candidate’s broader experience. Overall, the hiring process felt unprofessional and left a poor impression 👎👎
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at VivoKinetics (Singapore) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview session was quick and direct. Was able to see classes in progress to get a grasp of what sessions would be like. Was asked to participate in a trial session to see if I was fit for the job. Enjoyable experience if you like to play with children.
