      Nach einem ersten Telefonat mit der Personalabteilung wurde zunächst ein Skype-Interview mit zwei Softwareentwicklern durchgeführt, danach ein technisches Interview mit einem Entwickler vor Ort im Büro. Dabei musste ich ein kleines Programm schreiben, das ein anwendungsnahes Beispielproblem löst, und habe im pair programming Setup auf meinem eigenen Rechner gearbeitet und durfte jederzeit Fragen stellen oder in der Dokumentation nachschlagen. Nach dem technischen Interview gab es dann noch ein Gespräch mit dem CTO und einem der Gründer der Firma (u.a. zur Klärung von Gehaltsvorstellungen und Urlaubsanspruch) und ein Mittagessen mit den anderen Softwareentwicklern. Noch am gleichen Tag habe ich per E-Mail das Stellenangebot bekommen. Alle Stufen des Vorstellungsgesprächs sind schnell, unkompliziert, gut organisiert, stressfrei und angenehm gelaufen.

      I recently had an interview with viafintech and wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, I found the overall process to be quite disappointing, particularly due to the lack of attentive communication and unresponsiveness of the recruiter. I was initially contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn, who promptly scheduled a Skype meeting to discuss the company and the interview processes. During the meeting, the recruiter provided a brief overview of the company, but it quickly became apparent that their attention was elsewhere. Despite their initial inquiry about my career, it was evident that they were not actively listening to my responses. This lack of engagement left me feeling undervalued and unimportant as a candidate. Following the interview, I received a message from the recruiter on LinkedIn stating that I did not pass the interview. Naturally, I was disappointed with the outcome, but I decided to reach out to the recruiter in hopes of receiving feedback that could help me understand where I fell short. Unfortunately, despite my multiple attempts to seek constructive feedback, the recruiter never responded to my inquiries. The unresponsiveness of the recruiter left me feeling even more disheartened and confused. As a candidate, I believe it's essential to receive feedback after an interview to gain insights and improve future performance. The lack of feedback not only reflects poorly on the recruiter's professionalism but also makes it difficult for candidates to learn from their experiences and grow. While I understand that not every interview can lead to a positive outcome, it is important for companies to value candidates' time and effort throughout the process. Effective communication, active listening, and providing constructive feedback can go a long way in enhancing the overall candidate experience, regardless of the outcome. I hope that the company can address these issues and improve their interview process, ensuring a more respectful and informative experience for all candidates.
